Bull are a five-piece from York. School friends who started playing together in 2011, they self-released the poppy-punky She Looks Like Kim (redacted) in 2014. A 2018 US tour yielded the scrappier America EP, sold as a bootleg.
In 2020 they signed to EMI via York label Young Thugs. Debut album Discover Effortless Living arrived in 2021—Covid timing, Radio 1 and 6 Music play, an Elton John nod. They hit Leeds and Reading that year, and supported Pavement at Leeds O2 Academy in 2022.
2022's Stuck Between the Virtual and Physical World EP preceded album Engines of Honey in 2024. They're currently playing live, testing new material. Third album expected in 2026.
Vehicle are a garage pop group from Leeds, blending 50s and 60s pop with the psych raw power of bands like Spacemen 3, Wire and The Gun Club. Fronted by Michael Cable, their surrealist lyricism and quest for the perfect pop hook drive a live show full of intensity and character. Their debut album Widespread Vehicle, recorded in Leeds, is out now on Esco Romanesco Records.
